Joaquim Font, born in 1995, began his musical journey at the conservatory in his hometown of Igualada, where he laid the foundation for his development as a pianist. His early promise led to a scholarship from the prestigious Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation, allowing him to continue his studies at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona. There, he honed his craft under the guidance of renowned pianists Josep Colom and Raimon Garriga, gaining a deep understanding of both solo and chamber music performance.
In 2018, Font moved to Essen, Germany, to further refine his artistry. He was accepted into the Folkwang University of the Arts, where he pursued advanced studies in piano under the tutelage of acclaimed pianist Hisako Kawamura. Simultaneously, he specialized in opera accompaniment and Lied, working closely with Xaver Poncette. His studies in Germany were supported by a scholarship from the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation, underscoring his exceptional talent.
Font regularly appears in concerts across Spain and Germany, where he performs as a soloist, chamber musician, and Lied accompanist. His repertoire spans a wide range of classical music, showcasing both technical brilliance and emotional depth in his performances. He continues to be a sought-after musician, engaging audiences with his expressive interpretations and dedication to his craft.
